In this article, we are going to publish the report of Brand Finance (brand consultancy firm) in which they have ranked the most valuable brands for the year 2018.Amazon has topped the ranking this year.Brand Finance consider the stakeholder investment, marketing investment and business performance to rank the companies. This year Amazon has replaced Google as the most valuable brand in the Earth as per Brand finance. Whereas still, tech companies are dominating the list as Apple, Google and Facebook are all there in top 10.

ICBC (Industrial and Commercial Bank of China)
Brand value: $59 billion
As compared to last year: +24%

Last year ranking: 10

Since 2008, China’s share of global brand value has increased from 3% to 15 %, with ICBC (Industrial and Commercial Bank of China) holding its 2017 rank of the 10th most valuable brand in the world.

Walmart
Brand value: $62 billion
As compared to last year: -1%

Last year ranking: 8

Walmart lost its value compared to 2017, with the future looks full of uncertainty as the brand started 2018 by shutting more than 60 of its Sam's Club stores.

Verizon
Brand value: $63 billion
As compared to last year: -5%

Last year ranking: 7

Verizon lost its 5% value from where it stood last year, and a big part of that is because of small companies like T-mobile who are attracting the customer base of Verizon.

Microsoft
Brand value: $81 billion
As compared to last year: +6%

Last year ranking: 5

Microsoft started well for the year 2018, in large part due to its cloud service which is only second to Amazon's. But still, this techie is significantly less valuable than its top competitors like Google and Apple.

Brand value: $82 billion
As compared to last year: -5%

Last year ranking: 4

AT&T is also down by 5% from what it was worth in 2017, and its likely for the same reasons as Verizon is. To control this situation, they are expanding their entertainment sector.

As compared to last year: +45%

Last year ranking: 9

Facebook jumped by 45% from last year when they were #9 on the list of most valuable brands. The brand is advancing fast from the dominance of digital content, according to the report.

Brand value: $92 billion
As compared to last year: +39%

Last year ranking: 6

Samsung was on #6 spot last year and is climbing the ranks to become one of the most powerful tech companies in the Earth. The other helping products for the techie are Galaxy phones, Samsung tablets, TVs, home appliances, home security, and more.

Google
Brand value: $121 billion
As compared to last year: +10%

Last year ranking: 1

Google saw a drop down from #1 to #3, despite better-than-expected performance in 2017. At last, Google is struggling to maintain with the #1 brand because, while it champions cloud technology and internet search, it doesn't focus as much of its energy on other sectors, according to the Brand Finance.

Apple
Brand value: $146 billion
As compared to last year: +37%

Last year ranking: 2

Apple maintains its #2 rank when it comes to brand value, rebounding after a 27% drop in 2017.  Almost 67% of Apple revenue comes from the iPhone, making it essential for the phones to sell well if Apple wants to hold onto the #2 spot next year too, the report suggest.

Amazon
Brand value: $151 billion
As compared to last year: +48%

Last year ranking: 3

This year Amazon is up by 48% from its 2017 value, considering market capitalization and revenue, Amazon is the largest online retailer in the earth. It deals not only in online business but also work to produce cloud infrastructure, electronic segment and has also made its presence in video streaming and music world. To add to its value the $14 billion Foods acquisition by Amazon took it from digital to the physical zone.
